From Colorado to Copenhagen
Hey! I’m Aiden (pronouns he/him), a senior attending Colorado College in… you guessed it: Colorado. I’m studying abroad at DIS Copenhagen in Fall 2023, and am excited to experience Denmark through my courses, homestay, and constant exploration!
A Colorado native, I love the outdoors, whether hiking, biking, climbing, or cloud watching. I’m an avid reader, amateur ceramicist, and chronic doodler, but I also find myself fascinated by the unique architecture that Copenhagen exhibits. While my core course at DIS is Globalization and European Economies, I am eager to learn more about urban design theory and Danish culture through my other courses (European Urban Design Theories, Innovation through Design Thinking, and Danish Language and Culture I-II). I hope to spend a lot of time getting to know the city itself and aim to find myself truly immersed in Denmark over the next few months. From architecture and art to cuisine and culture, I invite you to join me on this journey.
A few more facts about me:
- I love working with my hands, from building furniture from pallets to reassembling lighting fixtures.
- My hometown was once a company town for a dynamite factory, and has a total of 9 streets, 102 houses, and about 500 people. (My high school was 5 times the size of my town!)
- I’m a Mathematical Economics Major with a minor in Environmental Studies, but absolutely love learning, no matter the subject.
